Principal’s Message

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our school’s website. Tá fáilte romhat chuig suíomh-gréasáin Scoil Náisiúnta Phádraig Naofa. Our website communicates and connects with our present pupils, parents and guardians, The Avoca Parish, our wider school community and all new families.

Scoil Náisiúnta Phádraig Naofa, Avoca is a co-educational school, serving a rural community that is mixed in both religion and socio-economic class. We are a Roman Catholic School; this ethos is promoted sincerely and in a spirit of tolerance and respect for the beliefs of all who attend our school.

Our Mission Statement states that…

‘The school aims to teach the skills that are needed to develop each child’s intellect. Its aims are to imbue the children with appropriate spiritual, moral, and cultural values; and to develop their awareness and understanding of their environment at a local, national and global level. The school seeks to promote the physical and emotional well-being of all pupils, and to develop their expressive, artistic, and creative abilities to each pupil’s full capacity’.

The teachers will work in a spirit of partnership with the parents and the clergy for the good of the children, and they aim to make the school a happy and effective place for learning.

When your child is ready to start primary school or you may be moving to the local area during the school year, we would be happy to show you around our beautiful school. We can arrange a visit where you and your child will experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere from our excellent staff and fantastic pupils in the picturesque setting of Avoca, Co. Wicklow. The pupils are supported in their daily learning by our committed staff, dedicated Board of Management and wonderful parents.

Please contact the school directly with any queries you may have or to arrange a visit on 0402 35331 and email at avocans@hotmail.com.

We will be delighted to welcome you to experience our exceptional school community.
