The children really enjoyed the 2022 Book Week

On Tuesday we had the renowned author visit the school to tell us all about his work as an author. The children engaged in a variety of activities and competitions throughout the week. You can see the list of activities and the winners of the various competitions here.

Junior infants- Room on the Broom activity- Hailie Giles and Gary Kavanagh

Senior infants- design reading glasses- Julianna Kinsella and Lewis Hibbert

First-class- Pop up bookworm- Adam Kavanagh and Amy Kavanagh

Second class- Pop up book worm- Hollie Murphy and Rían Ó Brádaigh

Third class- Create a Little Miss/Mr. character- Matthew Smyth and Mia O’ Brien

Fourth class- Create a Little Miss/Mr. character- Robyn Connell and Kevin Cullen

Fifth class- Fairytale emoji Pictionary quiz- Alan Byrne, Hannah McGeachan and Amber Moxley

Sixth class- Fairytale emoji Pictionary quiz- Alex Mableson 

Friday the 28th was the school dress-up day. Everyone made a huge effort and you can see the list of the winners here. They had lots of stiff competition before emerging as the winners.
